Experience

I have tutored elementary school through high school students in math, reading, writing, and various sciences, and I have tutored college students in psychology. I have also tutored high school and college students in time management and study skills. During my time at the College of William and Mary, I taught a course for incoming freshman, in which they learned effective study habits and strategies for writing essays. As a graduate student this past year, I taught 3 courses: General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, and Research Methods in Psychology. Through my experiences as a student, tutor, and teacher, I have come to believe strongly that not all students learn the same way, and I am very willing to work with students to figure out how they will learn best. I have found my, experiences to be very rewarding, and I love when I get to see things "click" for students. More importantly, I love to watch students grow to be proud of themselves and confident in their academic abilities.
